Installation Position
In practical application, it is usually assembled with an upper slide plate, a lower slide plate and a nozzle, and installed under the nozzle seat brick at the bottom of the tundish. The upper slide plate is connected to the tundish upper nozzle, while the lower slide plate is connected to the lower nozzle or the mold.
Working Method
The slide plate mechanism drives the slide plate to slide horizontally, changing the alignment degree of the inner holes of the upper and lower slide plates. When fully aligned, the molten steel flow rate is maximum; when partially aligned, the flow rate decreases. Through this way, precise control of the continuous casting process is achieved.
Key Function
It can replace the traditional stopper rod for flow rate control, and is especially suitable for high-efficiency continuous casting machines such as billet and thin slab casters. It can quickly respond to the demand for flow rate adjustment and avoid flow control failure caused by adhesion between the stopper rod and the nozzle.
