Introduction to tundish nozzle

At present, the representative quick-change systems at home and abroad are:
(1) Comcast nozzle adjustment system (CNM);

(2) Danieli Fly Nozzle Replacement System (FNC);

(3) Intstrap Fixed-Diameter Nozzle Replacement System (MNC);

(4) Kurosaki Harima Co., Ltd. Tundish Nozzle Online Replacement System (OTNC);

(5) Vesuvius calibration nozzle replacement system (CNC).

Although there are many quick-change systems, there are two main ways to replace them:

2. Quick replacement methods are:

1. Hydraulic quick change method:

The nozzle and the standby nozzle in use are placed in front and back of the same plane, supported by a high-temperature resistant spring, and the drain is replaced by the method of hydraulic ejection;

The quick replacement of the sizing nozzle uses a specific mechanism with a dimensionally accurate nozzle running slide, in which both the sizing nozzle and the standby sizing nozzle are positioned in the working state.

When the sizing nozzle needs to be replaced, press the start button, and the hydraulic drive device pushes the standby sewer to slide from the standby position to the working position within 0.1s, and the original working sewer is pushed out to the collection position;

The molten steel is injected into the mould through a new drain, which allows for a quick replacement of the sizing nozzle during the continuous casting process. After replacement, the centerline deviation of the upper and lower water outlets is less than 0.1mm.

2. Manual quick replacement mode:

The nozzle in use and the spare nozzle are placed in the same plane fan, mechanically fixed, and manually pulled to replace. The manual replacement mechanism is simple, and it is divided into four parts: base, fixed plate, fan plate, and spring pressure regulator.

The scallop slide plate frame is equipped with two pieces of sizing nozzles, and the handle of the sector frame can be moved so that the casting hole of one of the nozzles on the sector slide frame can be in working condition, and the other nozzle has been moved to the space on the other side of the device, and the nozzle bricks that have been removed can be replaced at this time.

The features of the device are:

(1) The structure of the device is reasonable, the structure is simple, the maintenance is convenient, and the labor intensity is low.

(2) The unique spring pressure regulator is adopted, which has a certain pre-pressure on the nozzle, and can quickly replace the new nozzle brick under the condition of continuous flow.

In the 90s of the 20th century in China, Laigang took the lead in overcoming the problem of rapid replacement of fixed diameter nozzle in China, and realized the rapid replacement of continuous casting tundish nozzle and the longevity technology of tundish, so as to carry out the application boom of domestic fixed diameter nozzle quick change system.

3. The advantages of the quick-change system via the sizing nozzle include:

1. The application of quick replacement of sizing nozzle technology can avoid excessive tension speed and steel leakage accidents caused by excessive nozzle erosion.

2. Increase the number of single-pack continuous pouring furnaces, reduce the tundish residual steel, improve the yield of the billet and the quality of the billet, and achieve the purpose of reducing costs and increasing benefits.

3. It can realize the rapid stop pouring, re-pouring and replacement of the sizing nozzle with different aperture in the pouring process, so as to adapt to the best match of molten steel temperature, fluidity and drawing speed in the later stage of casting, and the matching with the supply of molten steel in front of the furnace, so as to promote the balance and stability of the production organization.

4. Improve the service life of tundish and reduce the consumption of tundish lining refractory materials, baking energy, and manpower for tundish lining.
