CNM Upper Exchange Nozzle is a core refractory part for CNM tundish quick-change systems in steel continuous casting. It installs at the tundish bottom as the fixed upper component of the quick-change unit, guiding molten steel to the lower exchange nozzle. It matches lower nozzles through standard sealing surfaces, supporting online lower nozzle replacement during casting. This structure extends tundish service time and cuts production downtime.

Working Principle
Molten steel flows from the tundish through the inner bore of the upper nozzle to the lower metering nozzle. When the lower nozzle wears, clogs or needs flow adjustment, the quick-change mechanism removes the old lower nozzle and installs a new one during continuous casting. The upper nozzle remains fixed throughout production.
