Products Description
MNC is a replaceable tundish nozzle system. This system consists of a top nozzle, a bottom nozzle, and a blind flange.
MNC quick-change top nozzles manufactured abroad are mostly produced using casting. The advantage of casting-molded tundish top nozzles is their smooth finish and lack of height difference. The disadvantage is that their physical properties are relatively low.
Our company's MNC exchange tundish top nozzles are produced using compression molding. Compression molding produces products with some height difference during production, but through mold improvements, we have controlled this difference to within 0.5mm. The maximum service life of our MNC exchange tundish top nozzles can reach 108 heats, and it has been recognized by customers at MMK Steel in Russia.

Replacement Principle
MNC exchange nozzles rely on precise nozzle operation tracks. Both the working and standby nozzles are positioned within these tracks and are typically switched using a hydraulic cylinder. Replacement does not disrupt the steel flow. In emergencies, a refractory or metal slab shut-off device can quickly replace the standby nozzle with the working one. This method solves the problems of traditional nozzle replacement, which requires downtime and is time-consuming. It ensures billet quality, avoids production accidents, extends the lifespan of the tundish, increases the number of consecutive heats cast per ladle, and improves steel yield.
