Products Description
This picture shows our ladle zirconia slide gate plate matched with zirconia bore inserts. The slide plate body is the oval refractory piece, while the ring-shaped zirconia inserts are embedded into the flow hole of the plate. It is a critical refractory component fitted to the ladle sliding nozzle system for steel continuous casting.
Traditional alumina-carbon slide plates suffer fast bore wear under high casting heats, especially for alloy steel, stainless steel and calcium-treated steel. Changtai's zirconia reinforced slide plate solves this pain point by fitting a high-performance zirconia insert in the molten steel passage.

Core Advantages
Erosion and slag resistance
Zirconia insert has resistance to molten steel scouring and slag corrosion. It supports higher casting heats than standard Al-C slide plates, reduces ladle refractory replacement frequency and cuts downtime.

Thermal shock stability
The composite material formula bears temperature swings from room temperature up to 1750°C. It limits crack propagation and spalling under repeated thermal cycles, and avoids production shutdown.

High mechanical strength at high temperature
High bulk density and cold crushing strength keep the plate stable under molten steel static pressure and clamping force from the sliding mechanism. It does not deform or soften during long-time casting.

Precision machining & fitting performance
Sliding surface receives grinding with flatness control. Zirconia inserts are machined to match the plate bore. Fit between upper and lower plates prevents steel penetration between sliding faces.
