Products Description
In a steel mill, molten steel is transformed into billets by flowing through a ladle and then into a mold. The small component at the bottom of the ladle that controls the flow rate is what we refer to as a zirconia nozzle. This is particularly true for continuous casting of small square billets, where-since there is no stopper rod-the flow rate of the molten steel is controlled entirely by the inner bore of the nozzle; therefore, it must be exceptionally resistant to erosion and prevent bore enlargement.

No Enlargement of the Orifice Over Time
Because our nozzle is made of a sufficiently hard material, it remains virtually unaffected by prolonged water flow and maintains a steady flow of water.

Resistant to cracking
Taps are often installed while still cold. Some materials crack upon contact with hot molten steel, but ours do not; they withstand the thermal shock of alternating hot and cold temperatures.

Precise dimensions ensure a perfect fit
We maintain tight tolerances during machining to ensure a perfect fit with the seat brick, allowing for smooth removal via the quick-change mechanism.
