Tundish Nozzle Upper Plate/nozzle
The nozzle of long-life Zirconia Tundish is mainly used in continuous casting of billet in steel works. In order to reduce energy consumption and reduce the labor intensity of operators, our company adjusted the production process of this product, so that the service life of this product increased from 20 to 30 furnace times. The improvement of this product has been approved by the customer.
Our company manufactures various zirconia sizing nozzles suitable for continuous casting of steel. These nozzles are available either individually or with co-molded high aluminum jackets. In the past, sizing nozzles of single zirconia material were often supplied, but in recent years, many customers prefer composite nozzles for the purpose of cost saving. The composite nozzle produced by our company includes two types: fire cement connection and pressing molding. The composite nozzle connected by cement is abandoned by more and more companies because of the risk of steel breakout. In contrast, in the manufacturing process of the press-formed composite nozzle, there is no need to use cement pointing, but inserts and press jackets are used. This manufacturing method makes the whole system very reliable without the risk of steel leakage between the inner part and the outer shell.
