CNC Upper Exchange Nozzle is a type of tundish nozzle that belongs to the rapid-change sizing nozzle system. It is fixedly installed at the bottom of the tundish and serves as the fixed-end nozzle. Working together with the quick-change lower nozzle, it enables rapid replacement through a hydraulic drive unit.

Installation Steps
After the tundish casting process is completed and the mechanism is dismantled, it must be fully cooled before reinstallation. Alternatively, a new mechanism can be used for rotation to extend service life and improve efficiency.
Prepare the necessary installation tools such as wrenches, and ensure the installation area is clean and free from debris that may interfere with assembly.
When assembling the quick-change mechanism, apply high-temperature grease to all bolts before tightening them completely. This facilitates future disassembly.
Position the CNC quick-change upper nozzle at the designated spot on the tundish bottom. Ensure accurate alignment during installation. Apply a layer of graphite to the clamping ring surface of the upper nozzle to ease future removal, then use the upper nozzle positioning gauge to locate the argon gas holes.
After installation, verify that the protruding contact surface between the lower part of the upper nozzle and the submerged entry nozzle is 2–3 mm. Adjust the surrounding clearance to be uniform, ensuring the nozzle is securely and correctly positioned.
