For Casting, cast iron, cast steel, casting will have a requirement for carbon, well, just as the name implies, the carburizing agent is to increase the carbon content in molten iron. For example, in smelting, the commonly used furnace charge is pig iron, scrap steel, recharging charge, and the carbon content of pig iron is high, however, the purchasing price is higher than scrap steel, so increasing scrap steel input, reducing pig iron input and adding carbon additive can reduce casting cost to a certain extent. The use of carburizing agent can not only make up the burning loss of carbon in steel smelting process, ensure the requirement of specific grade carbon content of steel, but also can be used for post-furnace adjustment. As an important raw material for melting molten iron in induction furnace, the quality and usage of carburizing agent have a direct effect on the state of Molten Iron 2. The carbon content in the ladle can be adjusted by adding a specific brand of carburizing agent to the ladle after the deslagging and degassing treatment. The main materials used for carburizing agent are graphite, graphite-like, electrode block, coke, silicon carbide and other materials. The commonly used electrode blocks and silicon carbide carburetors have the advantages of high carbon content and strong oxidation resistance, but the production process is complicated and the cost is high, but the ash content, sulfur content is high, the carbon content is low, the carbonization effect is not good.
