The shapes of heating ferroalloy are cylindrical, spherical, square, brick and so on. Each piece weighs from a few hundred grams to a few kilograms. Its melting point is close to that of Matrix ferroalloy, and its calorific value is generally 800 ~ 1000 KJ / kg.

If the resulting slag is liquid enough, the metal can melt rapidly even when the ignition point of the briquette is lower than the melting point of the ferroalloy.
